Hello,

I used to have an '05 Aveo that I made into a project. Now, I have an '10 Aveo hatch that I'm using as a daily driver. I have tinted the windows and changed the stock stereo out for now. I'm kind of on the fence as to whether to modify this or wait and see if the Sonic comes out in a year or so. I do still have the lowering springs from the '05, which I need to put on this one. I also absolutely hate the shifter in this car. It is horrible.

Anyways, I'll post pictures up soon. Just wanted to stop in and say hello.

I have tinted the windows and upgraded my stock stereo to an Alpine head unit. Here are the pictures I promised:

I love my alpine, I have the CDA-9885 with an Alpine 6disc changer via ai-net.

In my opinion, Alpine has always made the best head units. It makes the stock speakers even sound good. That is the IDA-3005 if I remember correctly. It doesn't even have a cd player, but it does have the ipod hook up which keeps me from running out of music.

if they wouldnt have gone out of business, eclipse is what I really wanted. I dont remember the model number, but I really wanted the 8volt eclipse head unit. the sound quality was amazing from the 8volt. But otherwise for everyday use alpine stands above the rest in my opinion

Well drive safely on your drive. I've only made that drive once and it was a long time ago. I do remember that it was one hell of a drive though. I was driving from San Antonio to southern Illinois. The worst drive is going west - east or vice versa across Texas, that takes almost a whole day.
