I'm almost positive that honda spoiler won't fit without modifications. This one will fit though and it its very aggressive IMO.

serega, he didnt say he wanted to gain a bunch of horsepower with the spoiler now 8) , stay with the factory, the 2nd gen ones look really good
Hunter, he did say "aggressive" up there though. Look for yourself. 8)
hmm perhaps, maybe 5-7hp then? The stock one may not be sufficent then :x
what about this one ..i was looking at fits today where i work ,,i think this one would be tight lookn ,,mmmmmmmm
And what would you be pulled over for??? 8)
dont you know anything? The extra power added will make who ever drives it drive it fast, hence getting pulled ouver for a speeding ticket, i wouldnt dare doing this mod to my car [-X
seriously though, i think it would look cool if you could fit it on there
lmao wow!!! i love that pulled over one made me laugh out loud. i soooo got to get one of those put i cant afford another speeding ticket i got enough already and although its like ego boosting for your driving rep. even though street racing is a no no. its not cool when u got a pay a ticket and then thats like u throwing away a sway bar or a new intake. or body work. just sets me back. im extra careful. priceless pic though i looooove it =D> =D>
anywhoo does a spoiler really add horsepower wow. i got much to learn. ive learned alot from you guys here on the website. thanks alot i dnt sounds so stupid all that much anymore trying to talk engine talk with my hubby and friends.
where and how much can u get that wing for.
nothing adds hp but work to the engine. you can free up hp lost in other areas, but thats different than increasing hp.
dont mind me, im just being a ricer :)
rabbit is right
ricer hahaha how funny....i hate being called a ricer.
thats what they do though
i dont like the term but it is fun pretending to be one, wolfman is a real ricer though, poor soul
probably in the spring this will b my work ride ,,so im not n2 the power adding yet(bcause my 06 just wont die) ,,i did extensive measures of the fit and fit spoilers that red one will work ,,im ordering it now
as far as horsepower goes ,,lol after having the gt lmao theres no no comparison ,,it was quick ,,with the headwork tune intake and exhaust and gear work it would literally do 134 mph in ...3rd gear
so i know i will never get any nmbrs like that from an aveo but
i truly think 70 shot of nos and exhaust work is in ordr
nos is easy to install ive done kits for me and i have a friend who is handy too ,,between us we hav installd at least 20 nos kits ,,aveo's have the fuel test point in a great location to tap a wet system fuel hose to
...hav any u guys ran nos on the aveo
really for the money guys its the best bang for dollar u can pick up a kit reasonably too or hek for that matter piece meal one from ebay
and if u use it right and run a wet kit with 70 maybe 80 hp jets ,,lol it would make a huge surprise for a lot of people ,,mnitrous loves heat ..the hotter the bottle the better it works, at the strip we use to literally take torch and warm bottles a lil ,theres enough room behind motor even to hid bottle and its outta harms way or for that matter it can go in hatch.
this winter lol im gettn the gas
if a person really wanted some major power ,aveo low mileage motors are super cheap
a person could buy one and do some major work like good rods ,,cam ..pistons lil overbore and a nos crank
for less than 1500.00 u can build a v8 eater ,,ive literally thought about it ,,who knows
but 4now im gonna do my cosmetic stuff,,
no one has used nitrous on any aveo i have seen, i thought about it but have never touched it, with my tranny i just want to add some good cams and call it a day :oQuote:

a couple of pounds does not really matter, removing several hunderd pounds is good though
yea true. how can you lighten the aveo. o already thought its already light enought. reason for the good start ups. and acceleration timing. at least for my car....i have a heavy foot.
easily, the seats and the insides of the car, carpet, speakers, AC, spare tire/jack and other things, carbon body parts, lighter rims. If your a bigger person then losing weight yourself is also good lol
Losing 300 pounds on the aveo could be obtainable I think, but really, the improvement is not as good as adding a CAI or Xaio's header speed wise, though everything from handling and gas milage will increase
did you just call me fat.....
I think he was talking about himself... he said in his other thread that he's 6ft tall 300 pounds...Quote:

will the sgstyling spoiler fit first gen? thing is hot
yeah, it will fit
figured it would, thanks for clarifying
np, if you look at the roofs of the 1st and 2nd gen aveos they are exactly exam, but the spoilers styles have changed 3 different times fro 04-10 aveo models, thats why a lot of chasis parts also work for both gens as well

I dont know how it will look yet but, I ordered the F22 model aluminum spoiler from OBX (ebay) $60 with shipping, its in the body shop being factory paint matched. once I get the spoiler back, and I install it, ill take pics and see if can get them posted. If i cant get them posted on here, Ill have them posted on my cardomain page.
I just bought a pretty cheap spoiler to see how it will look. not gonna post pics till I get it painted and see how it looks. hopefully it fits my sedan pretty good
^such a tease
I wrote to the fine folks at www.sgcarstyling.com to see how much shipping would be to SC, USA. Awaiting a response. I do agree, that is one bad looking spoiler.
I had the same spoiler, it is very well made, I think it will look nice, but it is a very agressive design with hard edges instead of the soft/flowing look of the original. The pedestals are short so it will be close to the body, this is not a tall wing style also the wing angle has quite a bit of adjustment. The wing is aluminum, the pedestals are aluminum but the side plates are steel and very heavy, I remade the side plates out of heavy pexiglass, than sanded and painted it blk to match the rest. U can use the stock ones or make copies out of a light material of ur choice.
on ebay, it can be found by searching for OBX aluminum spoiler, the ebay listing does not use F22 for searching, the one I have is all aluminum, unpainted, the end caps, are aluminum as well. the spoiler was $35, and $25 for shipping. I took it to a chevy dealership bodyshop to be paint matched to my car. its been at the bodyshop almost 2 weeks now waiting to be painted.
Found the spoiler on EBAY. I do like it and when you get yours, pualsaveo, please post pictures. I am very interested in the mounts for the spoiler. Do you plan to to just screw it to the top part of the hatch or the roof of the car?
No, these spoilers increase hp. They produce a hydrofoil effect that churns up cool, dense, boundary layer air behind the car with a small vacuum right in front of the spoiler which sucks the car forward to the tune of about 5hp. It's proven. Believe me. It's scientific.

tomorrow will be 4 weeks that my spoiler has been in the body shop waiting for paint, i am becoming frustrated at this point
