      New Aveo Owner

Ok, got my Aveo earlier this week. I needed a car with good gas milage for the commute back and forth to work. The damn suv you see in the background is one of the big reasons I bought an Aveo. The HEMI is a killer on gas, and I've been putting way too many miles on my wife's car. I actually wanted a 5 door, but I found this one at a local dealer and couldn't pass it up.

She's a '04 with 40k miles on it and the car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Even though it's just for the commute, I of course can't just leave it alone. Thanks to the great info on here, I have disabled the DRLs, dumped the bowtie off of the grill, tinted the windows 20% all around and of course had to replace those beautiful 14" wheels and hubcaps. Not bad for the first week. AEM CAI is on the way and I've got a lot more planned....

Figured I'd through in a pic of the wife's ride too. It explains the avatar. Click for big pics.

I'm debating about lowering it. I love the look, but it's gotta be done right and not jack up the ride. Will have do some reading 'round here and see what my options are....

H&R's lower nicely without sacrificing ride quality...and it really improves handling.

      +1
I fully agree with ron, I have h&r's on my 07 sedan and i couldn't be happier. The ride is comfortable, installation way easy enough, and the handling is great.
      I would definately recommend them.

Welcome to the forum, nice pics... noting bad about a red Aveo... rims look nice, but give it that "4x4" look... lower it about 1.5" and you'll be golden...

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

HA! You're either right or we're both going crazy...

Welcome to the site, love what you did to the car so fast, and good to see another sedan here!
