nice work.
you have a 2007 restyled sedan don't you? that is a one year only hybrid wiring harness.. it changes again in 2008, and then completely in 2009 and stays the same.
I think you might need to...
it would be the black and gray wire "above" or "behind" the blue and brown..
and I think you need to look on the other side of the connector.
your drive by wire, but your 08 is 09+ spec here, so you need to do the 09+ install, not the firewall wires like 04-08.
does your 2008 spanish edition aveo have drive by wire, or is it a cable driven throttle?
which engine do you have? snap pictures of the engine bay?
whats with all the jcwhitney links in the last day?
those switches dont just wire in, and cost more than the $20-30 everyone here paid.. for $150-170 you can buy the rest of the pieces to put it...
it should not void your warranty, but that does not mean the dealership wont tell you it will.
gm raised parts prices after the bail out, as did chrysler. I guess that was their attempt to show profit
you would still be able to do it, there will just be more parts involved.
not sure what though on top of/other than adding a throttle cable and actuator.
where are you two from?
easy, look for a throttle cable that goes to the throttle body, no cable. then it is drive by wire..
im 99% sure i will work on an 06..
im going to tear into mine and do this. but i am haven't started yet since 09s have a new engine. i need to tear into it to see if the harness is the same before i buy the stuff. so i need to do it...
ah.. ok. i was under the impression it was just an on/off switch from reading this thread.
Don't try this.[/quote]
why? a 1.5 volt battery wont fry anything and will show continuity? a test light in the circuit will still come on and off.
hook the switch up to a battery and a light to see if you can turn the light on and off..
wouldn't you set your cruise at 77? i would.
