I would double and triple check the green/white wires you connected to as well as the connections. I recall there were more that 2, check the pin numbers i think it was 1 and 7. I doubt it is a bad...
I wedged mine in the little cubby space beneath the radio. that way it is easy to reach and out of the way. It even looks like it might belong there.
