      Oddometer lamp bulb source?

Has anyone replaced their odometer bulb in 04-06? I found an old post on here indicating the bulb is a # 24, so I ordered some, but this is not correct. The bulb is very tiny, smaller than the 24, and MUCH smaller than the 194/161 that are used in the rest of the cluster. I was hoping to just replace it, rather than rig up an LED.

      Thanks

      Odometer bulb = #2723

After a few months, I finally found the correct bulb. Only six tries later, got it! Bulb #2723

Matches the old bulb perfect. (new one is in the socket holder)

Thanks for updating the old thread. Someone will no doubt find it useful and now they won't have to rummage around for months looking for the right bulb!

Thanks Daox, it was like finding the holly grail lol I know one day these will burn out for folks, and finding it is about impossible, it stumped three dealers, and Sylvania didn't even know, it was only by trail and error I found it. The upside, I have enough spare incorrect bulbs now to decorate the house for the Christmas.

      How mant 2723 bulbs?

Thanks for the information...I just noticed the car a I got a few days ago has a working odometer, but at night no light. I can see the odometer reading during the day, but at night I'm not able to see my mileage.

Forgot to ask, how many 2723 bulbs does the odometer take???

Did you ever try 2721? if not I was curious of those would work as well or if they have to be 2723. I am looking for LED bulbs to replace all my T5 bulbs

I got 194 led's to replace my spedo/tach lights. But they were so dim at only 5 lumens, I just put the incandescent lights back in behind the spedo/tach. I did however take the green rubber covers off the bulbs that go behind the spedo/tach to give the color more white that green look.

I used 2 of the 194 bulbs for the license plate lights.

So then I bought another bulb from superbrightleds.com it's a size 24 smd white led. This is for the super dim low fuel light. Now I have a light I can see during the day!

I was able to find some 2723 bulbs at Auto Zone to get put into my odometer too.

I'm done messing around with the cluster gauges for now, but this is the easiest vehicle to get the gauge cluster out that I've worked on!

Josh, the 2721's might work in a pinch, but they are lower wattage so will not be as bright, or appear to be dimmed all the time. 2723 is the same as the OE bulb in wattage and size. FYI
