      Yokohama Avid TRZ Tires

About 2 weeks ago I bought a set of Yokohama Avid TRZ 185/60-14 tires for my 2005 Aveo LT. These are very impressive tires. Starting out with an 80,000 mile warrantee. Their dry weather traction is excellent and they give the car a tight feel on the road that the Hankooks never did. They are a little harsh (but they are inflated to 35psi) but they are a notable improvement in dry weather. In wet weather they really shine! I drove 60 miles through a downpour on Christmas day ( a state trooper piled up his car on the same road a little earlier!). Never, ever a hint of hydroplaning and I went through some serious puddles. So far these tires rate excellent in two out of three categories (dry and wet) I will see how they do in a New Jersey winter in ice and snow!

I picked up Yokohama 205/45/16 at discounttiresdirect.com and the only thing I dont like about them the ride is bumpy and they. But they look sweet...
