Can anyone tell me the name of the part I need to replace that controls the idle. I'm told it has to do with the gas pedal. The idle over revs at about 2k. I get it adjusted a day later it returns to 2k. Registered in Philippines as a
2012 4 door.

For a 2012 vehicle I would into “Chevrolet Sonic” forums even though most of the rest of the world still called it an Aveo.

Yes, in most of the world the car you have is badged as an Aveo. In North America and some other parts of the world the same car is badged as a Sonic.

There are three distinct versions of the Aveo
first version. T200 MY2004-2006
second version T250. MY2007-2011
Third version. T300. MY2012-2020
The T300 is the final style starting in 2012 and is badged as an Aveo or Sonic (unless you’re from Australia, there it’s a Holden Barrina).
This forum is mostly directed towards the T200 and T250. The other forum listed above is geared towards the T300 (your car).
