      Chevy Aveo good or bad?

My car just crapped out so I'm looking for a cheap reliable car. No more then $15,000 which is why the Aveo seems perfect. Is it good or bad??

Well it has it's here and there problems because it is, well, a cheap car. But overall I'd say it is a really good car for the price

almost 2 years and just crossed the 30000 mile threshhold, but heed the advice of changing your timing belt before 60000 miles or thats all you will get out of it.

Well I wouldnt go that far, but I guess it depends on what your definition of fun is.

But It is a very reliable car. All I did was Change the timing belt, Drive Belts, a coolant flush, transmission fluid flush, and regular oil changes. I have 55,000 miles on the car now. Everything is running like a charm.

now I dont know if the drive belt needed to be changed but I did it while the timing was being done.

i think its a fun car, slow but still fun to drive. i actually like the fact that it was a brand new car that i was able to buy. i like BRAND NEW. thats all im gonna get from now on i think. at least if it will be my daily driver anyway.

the aveo is a good car, there are reports of people getting over 50 miles per gallon! *ahem xstevex and y2daniel.* treat it right and it will treat you right.

I agree it is a fun car. Granted it would be more fun with a bit more power and better suspension. I hope to get some H&Rs this spring, Since I should hopefully be getting a decent job and the warranty will be up.

I haven't had any major problems with my Wave. Just a minor problem with the alarm system where the switch on the hood crapped out twice. But I haven't had that problem for over a year now.

It's an econobox. It runs and it's fun. Just don't expect too much more out of it.

I'm on 3 years, 50,000mi. A lot of good size road trips, been on roads SUV owners would cringe at... worst problems I've had are bent rims.

I would mention, though, I wouldn't buy one for more than $11k max, depending on the market in your area. At the $13k range, I would just go with a good condition used vehicle.
