WTB: Aveo engine

Pretty obvious what I would like

2004 Aveo 5 speed, need an engine... I can probably just get away with an engine with no manifolds or accessories since I already have them all.

have you checked the local junk yards, and parts stores? Can usually get a used or rebuilt through them pretty easily. Most junkyards keep all their stock online in a collective online database now, so searching one is like searching junkyards in several states. Atleast that's how it is in my area. Good luck finding one.

do you need the engine versus just the head? or a rebuild?

honestly, the last 5-6 engine i've bought were off ebay. Its about $650 shipped.

Local usually doesn't compete with that. But your not in my area.

Remember you still need a to a new timing belt etc with a "new" used engine.

Ebay or Car-part.com will give you results quickly unless you're looking for a well below market price engine; in that case you'll need a little luck.
