06 parts needed
I know this is only my second post, however i have 700+ posts on yarisworld. (i have a yaris hb, my wife an 06 aveo) My wife's aveo just hit 90k miles and is making squeaking sounds and all. Some of the parts i need are as follows:
Shocks/Struts (front for sure, maybe back as well)
Springs (all four)
Rotors
Calipers
That should about cover it...i hope. I know at yarisworld, everyone would upgrade and sell their stock parts for cheap, well that's what im looking for. I would like the parts to have 15k miles or less and will fit on the 06 model (non hb, if that matters)
Thanks all
Im located in arkansas, so include shipping in your price

I would go for the KYB shocks and struts listed in this forum, they are not a bad price, and will give a better ride quality than OEM.
Here is a link so you know what you are looking for. KYB America LLC Shocks & Struts | Products | GR-2©
Springs, I'm not sure since you want to keep it stock. Buy me a set of H&R's n we can talk ;)
Rotors, just buy new, they are around 50 bucks each, or see if you can get the ones you have turned for much cheaper.
Calipers, I have no answer for you, as new or rebuilt are probably pricey.
Have you tried the local salvage yards?

thanks for quick reply. ill prob get the rotors new, and i may not even need the calipers. shocks/struts for sure though. gonna research the kyb. thank you.

do you really think those part are the cause of your issues?
Springs almost always last the life of the car. As do calipers (unless made defective).
Are you trying to fix squeaking suspension issues with springs and struts? the more likely solution in the upper strut mounts, and sway bar bushings squeaking. (the mount you definitely want to replace when you do the struts anyhow).

Its a little different here because there isn't much of an "aftermarket" available for the Aveo as there is for the Yaris.

i didn't plan on doing calipers, but were seeing if any were real cheap, then i'd do them. not too sure of what is causing the squeak, but thanks for the suggestions. ill bring the car by a shop and have them check it. i've been told chevy struts go out decently easy, so i was just guessing that's what it was. ill for sure check the bushings though, thank you.
I do wish there was more of an aftermarket because when she gets a new car, i planned on messing with hers the way i did my yaris.
thanks for all the helpfull info
