      replacing water pump

My 2006 Aveo LS has served me well over the years, except for water pump failures. The pumps seem to go bad well before it is time to replace the timing belt. I know that it is recommended to replace both the timing belt and water pump at the same time, but the belt and pump was replaced only 3000 miles ago. Now the water pump is leaking. My question is, is it possible to replace the water pump without completely removing the timing belt and cam sprockets?
