How replace the ignition lock cylinder?
I have a 2006 Chevy Aveo LS.
Posted a couple of days ago about a broken key in the ignition. Decided the cheapest solution is to buy a new lock cylinder. BUT I have no idea how to change the lock cylinder.
Has anyone done this? Do I have to remove the steering wheel, and if so, how do I do that?
The key does not turn so I can't turn to acc position. That is why I need to change

http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/attac...aveo_g0044-gif To remove the lock cylinder of the switch cylinder housing, press down the detent spring with a 2.5 Allen wrench, or other suitable tool, and pull out the lock cylinder.
- Remove the ignition lock cylinder as follows:
- Turn the key to the ACC position.
- Using a 2.5mm Allen wrench, press down the detent spring in the ignition lock cylinder.

To install:
- Install the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key.
- Install the lower steering column cover panel.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
