how to find the short black chassis ground cable near the starter sometimes removed

Where to find the short black ground cable near the starter sometimes removed to replace the starter? ON a 2005 5 door Aveo LS the cables are bundled together in a black plastic tube. one cable goes to the positive post on the starter. this cable is red but it is covered in black electrical tape. Another cable goes to the positive post of the alternator. This cable is red too and is also covered in black electrical tape. The third cable is the short black 10 gauge wire that should be the chassis ground. does anyone know where the ground is attached near the Starter?
