All you have to do is, unplug the wiring harness from the module with the white sticker on it. Its labeled and is upside down. And is right above the gas pedal.

For laymen like me, DRL = Daytime Running Lights
I assume this is to disable the DRLs.
Cause I would like to get some silverstar bulbs, but I don't want the DRLs to burn them out. I don't really like the idea of keeping the parking brake on the first notch.
thanks for the post
Highly recommend against silverstar bulbs. Just had one blow up (yes, blow up) in my jetta.
The other sylvania bulbs seem fine, though. You get a much better beam pattern and penetration out of them also.
Hmmm...that kinda scares me. I just put a set in my Aveo a few weeks ago.Quote:

Usually, they blow up when you touch the bulb or it comes in contact with something cold while hot.
I'm sure my exploding bulb was out of the norm, but I know brian has had problems with them also...
I had some Silverstars in my Aveo...Never blew up. The Passenger Side bulb did burn out... I had them in the car for about close to a year, with DRLs and all. I had to put the stock ones back in it, but I will be buying a replacement pair soon. The light you get out of it is spectacular...
I have an 07 Aveo LS sedan and I cant seem to find the DRL module. Does anyone know if it is located in a different spot on the 07s?

Same thing with the cold thing...any type of glass does that.
I haven't had one problem yet with my Silverstars
