Body stud broke off when dropping cradle to replace steering rack

Title says it all. The stud is part of uni body and only comes with inner fender support. I’m replacing rack for leak on my sons girlfriends car. Any one done a work around for this. Haven’t decided if I need to cut off the bracket weld in a new stud and weld back on or weld a nut in and use a bolt. Thanks for any ideas. JT
