2005 Chevrolet Avero (5 door) Alarm going off, how to disconnect alarm?

I recently purchased a used Chevrolet Aveo, and the alarm won't stop going off. I realize it's likely the hood sensor, but I'm wondering how I can disable the alarm till I can get it into the garage as it's going off at night and at work and driving neighbours crazy. It's got a brand new battery, so I don't think it's that either. Thanks so much!

For now, lock the doors manually and don't set the alarm.

Long term, replace the hood switch or do what I did when the wiring to the hood switch broke off-- twist the wires together so the circuit is permanantly closed and leave the hood "exposed".

I believe the only way to deactivate the alarm is to cut a wire from the alarm module. I would need a wiring diagram to tell you which one.

The alarm module is located between the two front seats, under the plastic cover.
