Help! Engine Issues with my Aveo!!!

Had the shift linkage repaired which is holding fine, but now I am having clutch troubles. We are not sure if it is the slave cylinder or clutch plate. Car will not go into reverse and would not shift into 5th gear. After the car is warmed up the shifting gets harder to put into gear. My car is at 140,000 miles. Transmission was rebuilt about 80,000 miles ago. Does anyone know what is going on with my car or has had this same issue?

The title of the thread is 'engine issues', but you've described only transmission problems. Am I missing something here? Why was the transmission rebuilt at such low mileage? Have you checked to make sure the linkage is still ok?
