Often enough I see RHD cars here in Seattle. Some people here convert their USDM cars to RHD. Do they still pass inspection like that? Is it legal to drive RHD here?

I have seen a lot of US based RHD JDM cars in youtube videos, so I'm guessing it's legal to own and drive there.
It seems quite stupid to swap a LHD car to RHD in a left hand traffic country, anyways...
