wheel spacers size ?

My friend told me wheel spacers can make the car look much better and add a little more stability by widening the stance.
I want to try for my 2010 aveo and see many stores have aveo wheel spacers for sale,like Amazon, ebay, Hexautoparts, sixty.
I don't know what size wheel spacers do I need.
Any guys on this forum running wheel spacers?
If so what sizes?

There is a site called ez accessory dot com they will make you any billet spacer adapter you want if you can't find what you want. Just a thought..
