      Wheel Bearings

So what is involved in removing the drivers wheel bearing? Is it pressed on or do I need any special tools to do it? Do I need to remove the brake rotor or can i do it without taking it off?

not only do you need to remove the rotor. you need to remove the axle, and then pull the spindle.

for novice/mechanically inclined: you can pull the spindles on each side and go have new bearings pressed in almost anywhere. this saves you the tear down and reassembly money. for the more advanced: install the bearings yourself, if possible but you may need to have a press, and puller.
