Scootaloo is getting a tire upgrade!

Was browsing LKQ’s Pick your Part site for kicks and Grins when I found that someone had junked a Sport Red 2011 Notchback that had these beauties on it! $250 later and they are safely in the back of our Dodge Journey and soon to be Scoot’s new shoes! (3 of the 4 Firestone Champion Fuel Fighters are virtually brand new but the 4th had unfortunately been damaged in the sidewall and had to be replaced) all I need now is a set of proper lug nuts and a TPMS Relearn, and I’ll be all set!

Nice to see scoot is getting some love. I did a similar upgrade to mine this year too.

I purchased 4 new Chevy Spark rims for mine.

      Here’s the before shot!

And here’s the beautiful after shot! Now all I need to do is reprogram the TPMS and the PCM (since I can tell it that I have the 185/55R15s via my VCXNano!)

Depending on the original wheel size, you may not need to change the wheel size info. What tire was original to Scoot?

      UPDATE:
@50mph you will actually be traveling at 52mph
@100 you will actually be traveling at 104mph

      so……
      not too much difference.

185/60R14; and the TPMS reset was successfully completed.

It does look better! I like a split 5 spoke on these cars, especially after market.

I’ve noticed that with the new wheels, my engine’s Highway cruising speed is now 200-300 RPM lower than what it used to be! With my old tires, my engine speed at 70 was 3,000RPM on the dot and now it looks to be around 2,650-2,700RPM.

Must be the lighter weight and slight difference in tire diameter size if it's not like stock.
