Rims!
Hey all. I have a 2007 Aveo LT. Recently, my smart ass decided to take a turn alittle too sharp, I popped a curb, and shredded both of my drivers side tires. Along with that, I completely messed up my rims. I called the dealership and they told me that one rim cost damn near $400!!!! The hell with that. My tires are 185/55/15 (new tires, I have...the rims, I need!!) and I know the rims need to be a 4x100. However, I was just planning on going to a nearyby junk yard and finding cheap rims. I just simply cannot afford $400 a rim. Any suggestions as to other types of cars that have the same measurements? I know there was a website that I came across that told me what tires and rims were comparible to mine, but I cannot seem to find the website at the moment. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!

most vw 4x100 wheels will work and some Honda wheels but you have to check the center bore on the honda wheels to see if they are compatible. There are lots of options but your local junkyard will be best or check Craigslist > Cities.

Did you try anywhere that does rim repairs? That's what i did when my wife smacked the SUV onto the curb last winter.....they did an amazing job and couldn't even tell that it was repaired....also saved me a ton of money buying brand new rims from the dealer. I'm not from Jacksonville but here is a website from a place that I googled: RimSpec-Jacksonville Florida Car Wheel Repair and Motorcycle Rim Repair - Wheel Rim Repair Bent | Damaged | Curb Rash | Cracked | Powder Coating I'm sure there are many other places you can find in your area and get a good deal.

repairs are usually expensive for rims (here locally anyways)
Check your local craigslist.

I guess it all depends on the amount of work involved but it should not cost more than a new rim as I can't see how that business would survive if it did. Anyhow, I'm just presenting another option he/she could use.
