      Longer/Bulge Lugnuts

This is kind of a weird topic, but has anyone ran extended lugnuts? I'm not talking about those ones you see on civics all the time where they're a mile away from the wheel itself.

My current problem is that the factory lugs are just too recessed into my aftermarket wheels for the lugs to be removed without risking damage to the wheel itself(unless you're really careful).

So, does anyone run longer lugnuts? What kind, and specs should I be looking for when buying a new set?

      Thanks!

      its 12 on 1.5mm

if you rlugs are that deep you need to watch the longer ones, because a lot of them have caps on the end, and they might bottom out before they tighten onto the wheel.

God damn these iphone pictures always showing up sideways.

But I think this explains my problem a little bit better. It's not the lugs that are extended which are requiring the longer nut, it's the fact that the design of where the lug nuts fit into the wheels makes it so that longer nuts are more accommodating.

I wouldn't have a problem say, if I were to get longer nuts and there were leftover threads in the nuts, would I? I mean, the wheel itself would be tight onto the hub.

as long as there are extra threads or the stud is free to pass through after the threads, youll be good.

I may try and find something like that, marmite. Forsure worth the investment if it means saving these wheels lol. Thanks for your help guys! I'll update this once I find the perfect nut. That didn't sound right.

those ones marmite posted are the ones that will bottom out on the studs, and will not pass through.

never had a problem on mine was running the exact nuts i postedwas ust saying that you can use those insead of having to go to the trouble of extending the lug nuts to get the head of the nut to stick out of the wheel to prevent damage when removing the wheel.

there are not a problem 99% of the time, but if you want to see what i mean, put a nut on without the wheel on there, when the stud comes up to what the hex key is stamped, it stops tightening down, and in most cases the hex center will strip the threads.
