Konig Bump tire size questions
today i ran into an old buddy with his civic and he had white Eagle Alloy rims on it and i probably could get the wheel and tire package for around $200 USD. i was just wondering of anyone heard of that brand or if anyone knows if that seems like a good deal

Re: Never mind Eagle alloy... Konig Bump
ok so im looking at these rims and there 16's with a 205/50/16 tire on them and im just wondering would they rub on hard turns without wheel spacers. i've asked about wheel spacers at a couple places and they've said to stay away from them. any suggestions.
Re: Never mind Eagle alloy... Konig Bump
a 50 series tire on a 16 is too big (might fit at stock height?) spacers or not, i would say 40 is best, 45 at most.
offset, what is it?on a 7 inch rim, anything from 38-45 should be ok, but the caliper clearance is a different story (thats wheel design fitment, not just offset)
Re: Never mind Eagle alloy... Konig Bump
im afraid to go any smaller on the sidewall due to the Northeastern Ohio roads. (filled with potholes and just ***) i took a look at the profile of the tire and i talked to a rep from NTB store where i live and he said it would be the best for the roads im driving. Isn't Omj running konig 16's what size is his tire.
Re: Never mind Eagle alloy... Konig Bump
a 195/50r15 is @ the same as stock in diameter, a 205/50r16 is 1 1/2" too large, and is a 1/10" larger than the 18" wheel/tire that people are running around with. you should try a 215/40r16 it will have more sidewall that a 205/40r16 and still be in range, but you might rub because of the width.
you cant get bigger rims and keep the same sidewall. however lower profile tires have better reinforced sidewalls than the cheap oem tires that come on the aveo.
