      sub cuts out

my JL cuts out randomly and starts working after a lil. when it cuts out it still moves, but sounds like **** an not realy bass sounding. and went it works sometimes its clips out at the end of the bass hit. i tryed turning down the gain on the amp but it changed nothing.

could i have fu cked up the sub by playing it in -15 degree C weather for months?

by cut out randomly, is this while you are driving? I had this problem and would it could be is your wires are touching metal somewhere and grounding out, to fix this make sure all wire is wrapped in electrical tape, or all ur ends are in proper plastic casings...my problem was in my driver door speaker, and it cuts out the bass, like u can still hear music playing but its all muffled over...but yea i just had to check all the connections and sure enough that one was doing it, like whenever i would make a turn or something, cuz the wires were able to swing and touch the metal of the door, and that would ground them out...so idk if thats what ur experiencing..

YAP, 2 10" kickers in a 3.5 sq/f kicker box, and a 150watt rms amp runing on 1 ch right now at 75watts caz the subs are 2 ohms together
