      replaced stock radio

      hey all,
since i'm not much of an audiophile i have a question for you. i replaced my stock cd/fm/mp player with an alpine am/fm/cd/satellite radio and am not going to make a thumping bass driven car out of it. lost some of my hearing in my teen years to an 500 watt amp and a kenwood kicker box in my 20's. this is my question. want to upgrade my speakers in the car for better sound quality. any suggestions while using same size speakers?

I have always been happy with Infinity.

This time I will be going Alpine 6.5 in the front and the 4" in the rear.

Did your old stock radio have mp3 feature? What are you gonna do to it?

I love Infinity Kappa series speakers. The Kappa Perfects are even better if you can afford them.

Have you set your choice upon anything yet? Everybody will normally recommend you what they use if they like it. I think speakers are a personal thing and it's worth listening to them in person before buying any. You can try listening to someoe else's car speakers as well. Good luck with your purchasing!

I would personally not buy from crutchfield. Their website is nice and helpful but their prices are sky high
