      Removing Passenger Airbag Cover

      So yeah how do you do this? Simply pry it off or what?

      theres no airbag cover, the thing you see is the airbag I wouldnt try to pry it.

      go to Service Manual, then Restraints, then Suplimental Inflatable Restraints, then Maintenance & Repair, then On Vehicle Service, then Service Precaution, then passenger airbag module

      After you disconnect the module, you can then take the airbag out of the dash...you can find that pic under Service Manual, then Restraints, then Suplimental Inflatable Restraints, then General Description & System Operation, then Airbag Modules

      Looks like six screws hold it in place, after you take out the glovebox, they should be visable.

      my fiance hates the airbag, said one just went off in her mothers car and kncoked her mom out for no appearant reason. Can I legally take it out?

      Depends where you are. At the minimum, you have to let your insurance company know, and they may or may not change the premium.
      On the flip side, if you get hit by someone, their insurance can contest any injury claims when they find out the air bags were intentionally disabled.
