Possible help upgrading sound system in 2009 Aveo 5 Hatchback M/T

Yes you can do that. And you could get 2 6x9 boxes at like Walmart for maybe 20 bucks. Then just put those in the hatch

Oh cool. That may work. And the only thing I have to do to hook them up to the car is run the stock speaker's wires into the 6x9s right?

Yep. Just use a couple splice taps on the factory wiring
