Painted Center Console
I finally got tired of seeing how crappy that silver looked on my center console, and started tearing it out the other day to paint it flat black. It took me the last few days to pop the shifter plate out. I didn't really feel like taking the rest of the interior apart just for the center console, and I just took the bolts for shifter box out and adjusted it as needed (not that it really helped much). I also painted the whole shift knob just for the heck of it (except for the chrome parts). I tried to cover up the "Shift Lock Release" text on the shifter plate, but it didn't turn out so good, so I'll be stripping it down and repainting it tomorrow. I do like the look of the pieces in flat black. Here's how the main center console piece turned out at least.

I just got the shifter plate repainted. It looks like it'll turn out good, it just needs some time to dry/cure. When that is done, I need to reglue the plastic piece that has the gears on it. And hopefully by this time tomorrow, I'll have the center console put back together and have some good pics uploaded.
UPDATE: I got impatient and just got the center console put back together. I'll need to do some quick touch up for some damage getting the shifter plate back in, which I'll do tomorrow. I also want to clean up the center console to make it presentable, and get the million tools out of my car in the front row.

Yeah, that's the good old 4th gen iPod Touch camera for ya. I'd love a decent camera, but I usually spend my money on my car and video games. Maybe I'll ask for a cheap one for Christmas. When I first got the iPod, the picture quality wasn't this bad, not sure what happened.
Now the next plan is to try and get my rear view camera working or replaced, then put the interior back together. A nice, long day of cleaning and detailing will be in order. And perhaps after New Years, look into getting the rest of the silver crap painted flat black. And by spring, color-match the upper half (or as close as possible, not sure how close Duplicolor's "Charcoal Gray" interior color is to GM's charcoal) of my interior to the lower half.
