I need a head unit wiring harness for a 09 aveo 5. Any one no where 1 can be bought. I'm sure I will need to buy the adapter to bypass your OnStar system. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am located in Western PA/ Eastern OH.

this one should work for you:

if it look like the picture, you have two plugs in the back of your radio.
the onstar bypass thing? cant help you there..i swapped in a factory cd mp3 player..
where are you located exactly?
Edit to post a correct link for future people who dont read the whole thread..
I no if it will fit the 08 it wont fit my 09. They changed it completely. Hermitage Area.
the mid 07-08 sedans already had the newer dash that is in our 09 hatch..
to see the difference look at the back of the radio, earlier aveos have a white plug, and the newer dashes have two black plugs.
here is another, but again no onstar...

Maybe I will give that a try. I went to Best Buy and they can bring them up on their computers but cant order them. I was thinking about just splicing into the factory lines. But then the chimes n such wont work. I can live with that but I don't no what else i will loose.
i installed a factory radio from a 2007 pontiac wave, so far everything works, except the green light on the onstar seems to be on / off more often, the only difference i see on the original harness is one wire is called "onstar/interrupt", while the wire terminal on the 07 radio is labeled "call/interrupt"
it doesnt matter to me if i have onstar, although i have already needed it. but once my year is up i am not going to pay for it.. i am just going to swap in a 2007 dome light, to eliminate the buttons.
The OnStar bypass you need is called "Peripheral"? I think, it's a green unit that plugs in with your aftrmarket head unit. Hope this helps, I believe it's made by Stinger. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...n37/Onstar.jpgQuote:
