      Messing around with Enclosure dimensions

Bored as hell so i've been messing around with some enclosure designs today. I may do a front panel in orange translucent plexi so the wires & all can be seen.
Still undecided about wether to go with one or two subs. For simplicity sake... & COST. I would more then likely go with one higher power 12 instead of 2 10's. Just trying to get a feel of what I am looking for. I wont know until I actually want into the store & see what they can do for prices.

Now mind you These are not really to scale. Measurement & design are what I was after. Just been screwing around with them to see how close I can come to 1 cu ft.

Looking at putting in a Fosgate P200-2 & P1S412 or two sof teh subs with a 300-1 amp...I just dunno.

Well here is some of what I been working on. Will be adding more designs as I make them. Comment or not.. good, bad, or indifferent...whatever. I am bored as hell.

that looks like a neat program, what is it?

dont know much about sub boxes, but what about a "false floor" box with an inverted sub? it would only need to be (guessing here) like 32 by 18? inches... and probably 4 inches high?

but like i said, i dont know much about sub boxes..

Re: Messing around with Enclosure dimensions

I am just doing a basic setup. Keeping the spare tire right where it is beings as my wife drives the car just as much if not more than I do. No fiberglass, nothing fancy. I have a place around the corner from my appt that makes EVEYTHING you can think of out of wood, MDF, ect. You give them the dimentions, they cut the wood & give the wood to ya. Which is exactly what I need. I HATE working with **** on my Balcony anymore. Having to clean up the entire house of saw dust or clear out fiberglass fumes(of which my family has to be out of the house for the day because they are both allergic).
So like I say..VERY basic but nice looking. I think a Black Piano finish(black laquer) & the orange plexi would look killer back there.
Not looking to win any shows or impress anyone(except myself). I am done with all that crap. No more shows or Term-Lab..f*** it. I just need my tight BASS
Yeah I am an SQ guy.

ANYWAY, the program is very simple & FREE it is Google Sketchup 7
