Lost 12V ACC to radio (pin 4)
I replaced the OEM radio today, it had a balky AM/FM switch. I put a $100 clarion in that has iPOD controls built in.
The new radio did not turn on, however. I found that somehow along the way I lost the ACC power, no power at the connector pin 4 regardless of IGN switch position. I swapped fuses around, they are good. Is it just my luck that I broke a wire? The pin looks good I did not abuse it when I removed the old radio. I patched the radio power to constant battery temporarily and verified the radio works. The radio doesn't turn on and off with the ACC of course, but I am not looking forward to tracing a broken wire. :(
It is a yellow 2004 hatchback BTW, affectionally know as Buttercup.

Just run the power wire from your radio strait to the ignition switch fuse

Thanks, after posting this I thought the same thing..
Re: Lost 12V ACC to radio (pin 4)
From rading about faulty clocks on here sharing the radio. I'll ask, did you check both radio fuses?
Re: Lost 12V ACC to radio (pin 4)
There are three fuses, one on the ACC feed, another on the illumination circuit, and another on the constant B+ feed. The clock and radio share the same three fuses. The clock and the other ACC items like the power outlet work just fine.
