Lola's got bump in her trunk. My first homebuilt box.

I know those componets arn't the best or top end stuff but I had them collecting dust for years and I figured It was time to do somethin with'm. It's a very clean system that's not in the way and it's not a stupid square box taking up trunk space and getting tangled in it's own wires. It only sticks out a few inches at the top of the rear seats and the front slants down the same angle as the rear seats. It's pretty much a perfect fit. The sides are so tight I had to put my foot on it to push it in place. I had all that wire wrap left over from my TBI 409ci S-10 build. This box took me ALL day measurin, cuttin, measurin, cuttin, gluin and screwin together. It's 1" Thick Plywood I got from Home Depot. I found that Butterfly wrap from Joan Fabrics and spray glued it on because my wife likes those things.

The butterfly fabric isn't my taste, but looks nice! Lol

I'm not sure about the deck. It was a gift from her brother when she bought it new in 04 because it was a basic tape deck. It's one of those expensive tiny 1 Din decks with a bazillion tiny buttons that are worn off and bunch of modes that have never been used. She wants the CD player from my 04 2500Silverado because it has big easy buttons and holds more than one disk. It might take some work and modification but I'll get to that upgrade one day soon.

My wife just called me. She walked out of Block Buster and a white Aveo was parked next to her and they were rattlin their truck to rap big time. She backed down to track 4 (Def Leppard, Too Late For Love) Texted me on her phone for a minute while she turned it up, Pushed the X-Plode button on her deck up and was rockin out... She started to back out when the kid in the white Aveo jumped out, knocked on her window and wanted to see her system. She showed it to him and said It's all home built with wood from Home Depot and left over wiring from the race truck and speakers he had for years. He offered her 200 for it right there in the parking lot. Wow... That blew my mind... I've got like 60 bucks and one half drunk day into it hahahaha. I guess fitted boxes are worth more than I thought. She said he had a boring black square box bungee corded down.
