      Help. headunit replacement and sub

      can i keep the stock headunit and add an amp and sub because i have heard that you cant and i have also heard that you can with some kind of converter. Please help anything will be appreciated

      You can add an amp and sub to the stock headunit but you would need a high level to rca conventer and someone to tap into your wires and install the converter or you can find a line level amp(very rare and very expensive) and you could connect it directly to the radio by splicing into a speaker line.

      Actually most amps have a line in for highs. They are a pain, upgrade the head unit or upgrade the speakers and have a 4-ch amp.

      well i dont want to replace the stocker because i had a six disk changer installed to prevent that. thanks for the help i found a scoshe head unit amp converter from summit racing and maybe i will try that.
