So your car does not have A/c then.
that's just it, My Car HAS RPO C60, but when I look at where the Filter is SUPPOSED to be, there's just a Blank Spot!
I have the same problem. My car has the AC it just has that spot sealed where the filter is supposed to go. Its even outlined its just not cut and it doesnt have the filter. Maybe they forgot to add it in the assembly line? Who knows, but it would be nice to have. It helps to keep the interior clean.
I got a question is it just most of the drier hotter state Aveo with A/C that do not have the filter in them. ? 2010AveoLT did you buy the car new. I be checking mine this week some time.
no, I bought my Aveo Used; it started life as an Enterprise Rental Car.
Ok my car has A/c and it is a 2008 Htb Canada, I was at Suzuki dealer seen in print Swift+08-09 part # 95860-84Z31. or Fram Fresh Breeze CF10546
Plus I was reading in the manual.Make note the way it faced when removing filter.Quote:
Passenger Compartment Air Filter your vehicle may be equipped with apassenger compartment air filter. it is located behind the glove box and can beaccessed after removing the glove box from its housing. the filter traps mostof the pollen from air entering the module. like your engine air cleaner/filter,it may need to be changed periodically. to change the passenger compartment air filter, use the following steps: 1) open the glove box half way down. 2) grip the glove box by both the upper and lower sides and pull it out of its housing.3) remove the 4 screws on the knee bolster. 4)remove the knee bolster. 5)remove the filter cover by pressing in on the bottom retaining tab and pulling the cover down. 6) remove the old passenger compartment air filter. 7) then reverse the steps to install the new air filter and replace the glove box. Ensure that the new filter is inserted in the proper orientation.
I just wondering if mostly regains’ with dust & pollen mostly if there was regains’ low for them then you may only have the reg. box with out the filter. So to add this you would have to get the box with the filter opening.
although the weird thing is, the bosses for the Filter cover are on my Evap Box, ready to go. so all I would need to do is cut the hole in the Evap Box where the filter goes, buy the filter cover (and after nosing around in my 2008 Edition Motor brand Crash Estimating Data Book for GM, I FOUND a Part Number for the Filter Cover: 96434187) and shove a filter inside!Quote:

In the age before cabin filters, getting poked in the face with a pine needle was not an uncommon occurrence.
I bought my used from a dealer, it appeared it also did not have a filter installed. I installed it but I had to bent it a little during the installation otherwise it did not go into the gap.
I too have a 2010 (Aveo5 LT). Comes with AC, but does NOT have a stock cabin air filter. Which of course I only discovered after having already purchased a filter from Amazon. Thank goodness they have easy returns!
After 5 years of owning an Aveo 5 and still many more left, I am finally used to dry leaves blowing through my air vents. LOL!
