      Front Seat Belt Replacement

Anyone every changed one of the front seat belts on Aveo. Mine's a 2005 model. My dog chewed the passenger's side front seatbelt (still works but damaged) LOL

I obtained a good replacement belt and mechanism from AAA Auto Salvage online ($40 shipped) so now ready to replace.... I just don't want to damage the plastic trim cover in front of seat belt. I think I may have to remove seat first.

Just wondering if their are any tricks to removing plastic paneling cover over belt without doing damage to clips etc. I don't see any screws so just pushes/ snaps into place somehow.

      Any tips?

      Thanks in advance

move the seat all the way up. unbolt the floor bolt. the with both doors open pull the rubber seal off the pinch welds on both sides of the plastic trim. (check the trim for screw holes). if there are no screw holes pry up on the trim to unclip the trim from the piller. start on one spot and work around. once loose, unbolt the the seatbelt from the top of the pillar. and then unbolt the lower reel of the belt from the lower panel.

      replacement is basically reverse.
