      Front Door Speakers Poll

I realize that lots of you have posted in many different posts about what you're using in your vehicle. I'd like to see a poll about what YOU have chosen for your front door speaker upgrade. Also, I'd like to know more about what you did to modify your front door if you needed to. Photos would be great.

I'm trying to get a feel for what I want to do to my '04 Aveo LS sedan. I'm also trying to get a feel of what it may cost in both time and in money.

I really don't want what you plan on doing, just in case that it's not successful or it takes excessively longer than planed, or changed plans.

2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.3L V6, about 22,000 mi.
2004 Chevrolet Aveo LS Sedan 1.6L I4, about 100,000 mi.

      Re: Front Door Speakers Poll

I put in Pioneer TS-D720C Premiere System (http://tinyurl.com/6jplf8) about $220.00 US.
6-3/4 woofs in the doors using the adapters that came with the speakers. The speakers also come with separate crossovers and tweeters. While the woofs fit in the door and the door panel fits well, the windows don't completely roll down. (I have the Aveo5 200. The bottom of the window hits the speaker magnets. I would need to put in a 1.5 inch spacer to clear the window.

I have Kicker DS600.2 components in my doors. Installed with a 1" spacer and the windows clear w/ no problems.

nOk, did you modify the speaker grill on the door itself? I mean, did you have to cut out a hole and mount the grills that came with your speakers? or was there no space problems even with the one inch spacer?

Probably not. I have a 1 5/8" spacer and the grill is still there.
