Cluster Clock Probelm

I bought my 2007 Chevy Aveo5 about two weeks ago and the clock wasn't working at all when I got it, I did some research and found that this was a semi-common problem, so I checked the fuses but they were all good so I just didn't bother to look any further into the problem. But a few days ago I had to start my car early and put the heat on because there was frost on the windshield...and when I got into my car to drive off the clock was magically on, until it turned off about 10 minutes later and hasn't turned back on since. Am I having a different problem then everyone else or is this also a common problem?
