Center dash clock Incorrect

The clock in my '09 LT is ALWAYS incorrect. I can set it to the correct time, turn my car off and when i turn it back on 5 seconds later, it could be 3-4 hours off. almost every time i do it it jumps to random times. i was wondering if there was something that gets cooked from the heat, or something similar and if there is a fix for it, or if there isn't one

Typically a bad solder joint in the clock module, from what I understand. If you are handy with a soldering iron it might be worth reflowing the connections if you don't mind risking the clock.

Hello, Before you get into taking your clock out, check the fuse. My clock did the same thing. I changed the fuse and it is fine now.

I wish I had seen the Fuse suggestion a year back as I traded-in my 2011 with a slight clock stability problem last Feb.
If its not the fuse, there is a long topic on clock repair with photos in the Forum.

I did that to my odometer @EAD15, (the soldering), the numbers would start to look funky after startup. My clock would reset every time I turned off the car. I checked the fuse (clock/radio) and that fixed it. Aveos do tend to have lots of little quirks.

Your clock may have bad solder joints or the clock controller itself may have failed it's a pretty common problem. I would try checking the solder joints first for cracks and if that doesn't help just replace the clock module, they aren't too expensive.
