Cabin Air Filter Missing?

I just bought a 2011 Aveo 4 door. I wanted to check to see if the cabin filter needed replacing. There doesn't appear to be an opening for the cabin filter. It looks like it is an option. What I mean be that is it looks like all of the picture and videos but the opening is solid plastic with the rest of the unit. There is a tab but again, it is solid and doesn't do anything. Was the cabin filter an option that year or what am I missing?
