Activated charcoal cabin filter for Aveo?

Does anyone know of an activated charcoal cabin filter for the 2004 Aveo? I believe the OEM version is just paper, so am doubtful. Some places have the NPN filter misclassified as AC, but it's actually "particulate paper" from what I can tell. PO had a smoker in the family, so would like to install an activated filter if available to deal with any residual odor after we have the car ozoned. TIA

Well, this may be far fetched - but aquarium stores have an activated carbon aquarium filter pad that is trim-to-fit. Maybe trim that to the same size as the OEM one if it is rigid enough, or put it on top of the factory filter if it is not.

That could be a great suggestion... and not far fetched as similar carbon media is also sold in sheets for air filtration. Looks like 1/8 inch thickness might work, but 1/4 would probably not (without distorting the pleats). Will take a look at the local pet shops and let you know if I find something that will work. Thanks for the idea!

I just ordered an ATP GA-14 filter that claims to be 'activated carbon impregnated' from Amazon.com.
