2010 Aveo strange radio problem

Hi,
Just got a 2010 chevy Aveo hatchback, it has a new battery installed. The radio is doing funny things.
it powers up but it's stuck between stations in the fm mode. If you turn volume up it backs off
by itself. There is no cd or tape deck it's a plain radio. Is there any way this can be reset by
a combo of button pushes? clock runs fine keeps time perfectly. I am at wits end. Never
seen this happen before. Any help is greatly needed.

This might be found in the owners manual.
