Since we're talking about headlights anyway...

I just thought I would throw this out there since we're talking a lot about headlights here. I just recently purchased the Sylvania Silverstars from Advance Auto Parts and they were $46.00 for the pair. Anyway I know thats expensive when we all know we can get replacement headlight bulbs much cheaper. They do seem to make quite a difference in distance of light on the street at night and the brights are incredibly bright. Not happy about the price but happy that they do what they say in the advertisements.

if i am you i will return that bulbs and pay about $50 more for a HID kit,
go with 4300 k hid, they are the least heaty,

its 2011 now, no longer 1998 - 2000, hid kits are cheap now days.
when it was 1999 i had blue tinted eurolite, $75 /pair
      hid was like $600 /set

imo those blue tinted halogen bulbs are same or even less performance as the normal factory bulbs.

you will be happy and very satisfy with the performance of hid, compare to those blue tinted bulbs. makes a huge difference

I think that I'm pretty happy with these new Silverstars. I'm really not planning much modifications as the car is way up in mileage and has served me very well these last seven years since new.

I agree with PERFECT ESL cause i too have HIDs on my Aveo however i bought the 10k. The color is hyper white with very light blue. VERY BRIGH.......when i first put them on i had people flashing their lights at me thinking i had on my highbeams on.

That is the biggest problem I have with switching to HID lights, I need something that won't blind oncoming traffic. I have heard the Joey-mod helps alleviate this though, so I'm going to try it.

im retarded when it comes to lighting but I saw an audi hatchback whose back flashers had a ring of led lights around the outer
      edge
do they make that for the aveo? When I do a search for LED taillights im bombarded with too much info to find anything to buy.

and I don't like all the rediculous overdoing of it ....just the plain ring round the edge looked GOOD.

I guess I could modify the lights that are on there already. though might crack something. :/
