Removing the windshield wipers...2nd question.

Sorry for the repeat question. But I am not able to get my wipers off my car. I take off that outer/top black 'nut/bolt', and I pull and pull on the wiper, and it just doesn't come off. I don't want to break my wiper system, so..is this the way to get them off? Am I just not pulling hard enough?
As I pull it, it seems the entire wiper system looks like it is going to come out from under the plastic cowl.
I had the windshield replaced last month,....so the bolts or whatever holding the wipers in, cant be rusted or stuck. He got them off easily.
NOW I need to lower the passenger side wiper, it is to high on the glass, and the wiper is now an 18in blade, not a 19in one. So...I CAN lower it, and not hit the A pillar.

Is there any other 'trick' to getting it off, other then taking off that outer bolt, and wiggling/pulling it up and off? Am I missing a hidden clip or something??

My suggestion would be:
Since the Windscreen Man re-fitted the wipers after installing the new glass, then, you should ask him to come back to correctly re-fit the wiper blades.

Technically it is in the 'proper place'. So..it is not his fault. I want it lower. So I cant have him move it...it was an insurance claim,and they paid the company. There isnt anything wrong...I just want it lower, always did. but now that I am using a 18in blade,instead of 19in,it can go lower. I just need to get it off, without breaking it off.

if you lift the arm and the push down on the bolt side of the joint and wiggle, I believe the rocking motion should set them loose..

lifting the sprung part of the arm and then trying to lift more just binds the splines. You need to rock them back and forth.
I also can't remember if there is a lock tap on them? its been a while. if there is its about 2 inches from the bolt on the side of the arm, t would look lis a piece of bent sheet metal coming out from under the arm. you pry it out a little to release and then do steps above.
