      how do i install a muffler???

      i want to replace the stock muffler on my 2008 hatchback, but i dont know if you need to weld it or if it just bolts on, anyone know?

      Id get it welded if you cant do it yourself. Mine is clamped on until I can get it welded. You need an adapter to fit and aftermarket muffler.

      I agree, you better get it welded.

      if you are putting on an oem replacement, it bolts at a flange right infront of the rear axle.

      speaking of oem. does anyone have a bad oem muffler that they mind cutting off the flange and pipe to the muffler, that way i can weld a aftermarket to the flange and just bolt it on, im not scared that i wont like it, but that my wife wont like it, not that she drives it that much, but it would save a muffler from being cut. anyone can help?
