cool, thanks
so what i read about the stock bulb being 9003 before was untrue? or are the H4 and 9003 EXACTLY the same? i had read they were interchangable, but wasnt sure how interchangable they were....
they are 100% compatible. As for HID conversion, you'll have to get a single bulb with both hi and low beam on the same bulb. That's a little bit more expensive than normal HID systems.
ya, theres a group buy of sorts on genvibe.com out of toronto, on...good deal....PM me if youre interested......theyll have high/low as vibes use H4's w/ high/low too...Quote:

I had a bi-xenon kit and the glare was terrible (I got flashed like atleast two times a night), and the hi/lo differences sucks and were barely noticable. i switched it for a single xenon (no high beams) and it was better (Light out put and glare).... still have glare though.
What brand Kit is it?
I had enough with the hid conversion kit... im in the process of doing a HID projector retro with acura tsx projectors. I should be close to done within the month.
I have everything but i need some new d2s bulbs.
im not sure of the brand name....im assuming nothing mainstream
i had/have an hid conversion kit in my matrix....never flashed....just had to aim the headlights a bit lower
i find i barely noticed my high beams with my hid's on anyways....so no loss really.....the only place i could see my highs was up above and to the sides of the hid's (and thats likely only because my highs are 'hyper yellow')
im not worried if the bi-xenons arent much brighter on 'high'....i found with hid's in my matrix i didnt need highs or my fogs.....it was just that bright
and going back to halogens again sucks. i want hids again.
so, wait a minute, your saying i can use H4 bulbs? are these brighter then the 9003's? i bought some silverstars and they blew, i am looking for something to replace them, i dont feel like spending another 50 bucks on silverstars to have them blow in a few months
what are my options?
silverstars are junk.
H4's are the same as 9003's...so get whichever you like/can find....there wont be a difference in brightness....
as for other bulbs? i like the nokyas i have....ever tried them?
Yeah I have Nokyas in my fogs...I like em.
no, are they much brighter then stock? i need something that dosent look so yellow, and is a at least a lil brighter. i dont have the cash to go hid yet, i am in the middle of lifting my truck, so no HIDS, but i need some decent lights reals soon
nokyas will be brighter than stock....
I run Eurolite Xenon "Fusion Plasma" bulbs, 25$ for the pair and they have been in the car for a good year and a half now.
The regular old sylvanias work fine
9003 = H4
not really sure why there are 2 different numbers the bulb is the same.
I haven't seen too many options as replacements for the 881 bulb in the fogs... any recomendations!
Go onto ebay, there cheaper for any type, brand or style.
im still waiting patiently for the HID group buy to go thru...
*sigh*
I had got some HID's from hidworld.com and they worked great. It was for my 01 F150. I never tried there hi/low. The quality was great and the light output was awesome. The only thing that I didnot like was the slow shipping. But for 320(US) shipped, I guess you cannot complain. I have been searching for prices and quality and it seems that xtralights.com has a good rep but the prices are steep. Just a taught.

9003 and H4 are the same bulbs.
Yes The Aveo can take 9003 and H4 bulbs.
They are rated at the same power, so you're not getting an upgrade buy switching to H4's.
ok what i dont understand about what the guy is sayin about the advantages of hids :3. you don't have to wait 30-45 seconds for the light to come on when you switch from low-beam to high-beam.Quote:

That particular product is Bi-Xenon. Bi-Xenon has a Solenoid that moves a cut-off sheid, to activate the Hi and Low Beams. He is calling this an advantage because if you have one Low beam and one Hi Beam (Two separate Bulbs), And you need the Hi Beams the Hi Beam Bulb will need to warm up. If you have Bi-xenon it just flips the cut-off shield down to produce a Hi beam...and no wait.Quote:

Any Questions?
 sounds like alot goin on just to produce some light. i want one.
