2009 Aveo5 - Third Brake Light No Longer Working

Hi All,

My third brake light on my 09 Aveo has stopped working. I ordered a new brake light and confirmed it works by connecting it to a Duracell Battery. The connector to the third brake light is not reading any voltage, the other 2 brake lights work fine. Fuse has been checked and its good. Brake light switch has been checked and its also good. What am I left with? A faulty connector the third brake light? Is this a common problem? Whats the remedy?

Check the ground wires or rig up a temporary ground to see if thats the issue.

I was able to fig it out. It was the black box that makes the third brake light up sequentially when you apply the brakes. I removed the box and reconnected the wires. No it lights up solid red like a normal brakelight ����
