so i know its been a good while but theres a reason. ok the car was taken 2 the dealer. they pretty much said to fix the car it would be $2600 for a new motor.... WTF?? anywhos the aveo we owe $5000 still. its under warrenty but since i changed out a few things they made a big deal. i told them i wanna take it home and do it my self. my bill for them finding out whats wrong w it is $500. so i had wifey call GM to make a dispute. after another week. they made a deal with the dealer for me 2 pay only for the install of new motor. comes to $770 w/ everything. new motor, 12months warrenty.. so now i wait yet again. hopefully its ready by March 17, 2011. SOON!! i will make a trip from south TX to Little Rock Arkansas. :O long way 2 go but ill make it count in the aveo.

if the valves are bent how much would a typical shop charge him if he removed the head? valve cover, 7 head bolts, disconnect everything and the head comes off. get a gasket set, put it back together. probably be 1 day removing the head and 1-2 to put it on with hand tools.

so how much would the avg price for him to expect for the shop to rework the head?
