Will a 2011 Chevy Aveo motor fit in a 2007?

Got my 2007 back from the BODY shop with a blown up motor We found a deal on a 2011 motor with wiring harness and ecu. Will this work?? From everything I can find the motors haven't changed over the years. I really appreciate any help!!

      Thanks,
      Erin

Yes the2 011motor will bolt to ur existing transmission. As long as ur running the ecu n harness it should be a simple drop in affair. Im surprised more 1st gen owners arent doing this, IMHO I dont think much of the e tecII. If u pull the trigger on this keep us posrted with steps/ pics to help others.

So doing this wouldn't involve any motor mount or transmission mount modifications? I cant believe i can't find anything online where this has been done. :/

it is a swap, but it is a swap that is about as plug and play as you can get.
